Barbecco Amidala
Wessex Cat Club Show 6 March 2010
Shows don’t come any better than our trip to Southampton.
Grand Champion Westgarth Foolsgold 37k (Yoda) gained his fifth and qualifying Imperial Grand Challenge Certificate under Di Brown. A Grand Challenge Certificate was awarded by Harry Meekings. Jane Francis-Wilson and Lynn Studer both awarded him Firsts in his side classes. He was then judged Best Oriental Adult and finally Best Oriental in Show.
Yoda’s show career has delighted us, and of course his breeder Catrina Simpson. He has achieved all these awards before his second birthday. Catrina travelled by train from Yorkshire to share all the excitement.
Yoda has been shown 17 times, had 17 Best of Breeds, seven challenge certificates, nine grand challenge certificates, five Imperial grand challenge certificates, one UK Grand certificate and ten Best in Show wins. It has been confirmed by the GCCF that Yoda is the first Oriental Cinnamon self to hold this title.
Yoda’s son Barbecco Obi Wan and his daughter Barbecco Amidala were each awarded their second Challenge Certificates, Best of Breed and were unbeaten in all classes on the day.
